Auto & Scrap Recyclers (ASR) was founded in 2002 with a clear vision: to provide quality auto parts to our local community. However, the story of our company goes back even further. The owner, a seasoned operator, spent years traveling the country with equipment, cleaning up old farms and dismantling junkyards. This hands-on experience gave him a deep understanding of scrap metal, machinery, and the importance of recycling—insights that would ultimately lay the groundwork for what ASR would become.

Initially, ASR focused on offering a reliable selection of used and refurbished auto parts to local customers, repair shops, and anyone seeking affordable alternatives to new parts. As the business grew, so did our capabilities. In 2004, we installed a scale at our yard, significantly improving the way we processed scrap metal. This marked a turning point for us, allowing us to expand into the scrap recycling business and better serve customers with metal recycling needs. We also began offering container services, providing an easy, efficient way for people to dispose of unwanted scrap metal.

Over the years, ASR continued to grow and diversify. We expanded our services even further by adding auto glass installations to meet the needs of local customers who required replacement or repair of their vehicle windows. These new services allowed us to become a more comprehensive resource for the community, addressing a wider range of automotive needs.

We’re proud to be a first-generation company, but in the scrap recycling industry, we’re already a second-generation family in the industry—and we’re gearing up to be a second-generation owned family business. Over the years, we’ve never lost sight of the values that got us started: hard work, integrity, and a commitment to the environment.

Today, ASR is more than just auto parts. We’ve built a reputation as a trusted resource for scrap recycling and removal, focusing on sustainability and doing our part to reduce waste and protect the environment. We’re proud of how far we’ve come, but we’re even more excited about the future.
